The difference between turn-milling composite machines and machining centers is:
1. The turning and milling composite machining center is a machine tool with B-axis linkage and C-axis linkage that can perform turning and milling processing. It can be said that all or most of the processing of a part can be completed on the turning and milling composite machine tool, so it is also known as a small production line. It not only improves the accuracy of products and the efficiency of processing products, but also greatly saves the floor space of machine tools for enterprises. In the past, it was necessary to complete the processing of a part on several machine tools, but now only one machine is needed to complete all the processing.
This type of machine tool can also be divided into vertical milling compound machine tools and horizontal milling compound machine tools. This type of machine tool is already very common in developed countries such as Europe and Japan. China has only just started and its development is slow. The main reason is that Chinese people still treat this type of machine tool like before, which greatly wastes turning milling compound machine tools. The main machine tool manufacturers include WFL, DMG, MAZAK, Baomei, Mori Seiji, and so on.
2. For a five axis machining center, it can only perform milling processing and cannot perform turning processing. So there are also many limitations when processing. Turning and milling composite can cover the processing of the five axis machining center, but the five axis cannot be used for turning and milling composite processing.
